Jacek Waltoś is a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow and the School of Fine Arts in Poznań, a painter, sculptor and graphic artist, critic and essayist, and exhibition curator. Winner of the Jan Cybis Award (2002). His art is saturated with philosophical and literary references, and alludes to the masterpieces of European art. The “Chekov’s People” series is composed of drawings and cement sculptures.
