Artur Pałyga “The Last Such Father” / a performance by the InVitro World Premiere Stage in Lublin

This play focuses on the father-son relationship, and the rhythm of the story is marked by various acts of paternal terror toward his family. The director sidesteps dramatic realism, literally interpreting the original title of the play (“Our Father”) as a prayer for and against the father. The play received awards at the 15th Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage Competition for a presentation of a Polish Contemporary Play, at the 8th Festival of World Premieres in Bydgoszcz and at the Interpretations Art of the Director Festival in Katowice. This year the performance represented Poland at the international Neue Stücke aus Europa festival in Wiesbaden.
